life. not easy. sometimes a gift. sometimes horrible. sometimes great.
it seems to be the one word to sum up everything. something bad happens, you say, "life happened" and cry. something great happens, you say, "life happened" and rejoice. why is that we, as Christians, revolve our world around life? life picks us and and drops us when it is convenient. God is the one who sustains us. we all know that our world should really revolve around God.
john 14: 13-18 and john 14: 21 says
"And I will do anything you ask in my name. Then the Son will bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name. I will do it. If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 I will ask the Father. And he will give you another Friend to help you and to be with you forever. The Friend is the Spirit of truth. The world can't accept him. That is because the world does not see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you. I will not leave you like children who don't have parents. I will come to you."
"Anyone who has my commands and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me. I too will love him. And I will show myself to him."
God is our everything, at least he desires to be so. but the thing is, we don't let him. is it that it is simply too easy to blame and rejoice in life? i would like to challenge not only my readers, but also myself, to make your world revolve around God this weekend, not "life." as we all know, life can end any minute, but God is the alpha and the omega. beginning and the end.
